At a meeting with Daegu and Gyeongbuk journalists held at the People Power Party Daegu City Branch on the same day, Chairman Jeong responded to questions about the “timing and method of the next party convention” by saying, “The first task is to establish a stable system that has been shaken and prepare to demonstrate stable leadership.”

He continued, expressing concern that “considering the security situation and the severity of the people’s livelihood economy, party members and comrades may not welcome the next party leadership candidates engaging in excessively heated competition,” and emphasized, “I will lead the party calmly and resolutely.”

Regarding former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, who has recently raised the tone of his remarks toward President Yoon Seok-yeol, he mentioned, “If you are a member of the People Power Party, I hope you maintain the dignity that party members should uphold.”
