Solving Village Issues Independently... Gijang-gun Cheolma-myeon Launches Village Welfare Discovery Team Inauguration Ceremony and Capacity Building Training

An official from the Cheolma-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun is taking a group commemorative photo after the Village Welfare Discovery Team inauguration ceremony and capacity-building training held on the 11th.

On the 11th, the Cheolma-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun, Busan, held the ‘Village Welfare Discovery Team Launch Ceremony and Capacity Building Training’ in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Dongbusan Nonghyup Cheolma branch.

The Cheolma-myeon Village Welfare Discovery Team, composed mainly of members of the Cheolma-myeon Community Security Council, plays a role in having residents take the lead in identifying and addressing village welfare issues.

The Village Welfare Discovery Team independently plans and executes the problem-solving process. They plan to implement a village welfare plan aimed at enhancing resident welfare and building community by April next year.

The launch ceremony proceeded in the following order: ▲Opening remarks ▲Sharing the implementation schedule and discussing methods for conducting resident needs surveys ▲Capacity building training by Lim Ki-heon, representative of the Daldalhan Pumasi Cooperative ▲Closing and commemorative photo session.

Yang Jae-yeol, head of Cheolma-myeon, said, “The village welfare plan is meaningful because residents directly participate and solve problems on their own,” adding, “We plan to restore the resident community and make Cheolma-myeon a happier and better place to live.”

Song Myung-soon, head of the Village Welfare Discovery Team, said, “I think this is a great opportunity to understand the current status of our village,” and added, “We will do our best to actively reflect the needs of the village and residents and promote a customized village welfare plan.”
