Homeplus Launches 'Price Stabilization Project' for Autumn... Up to 50% Discount on Food Items

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Homeplus announced on the 13th that it will carry out a price stabilization project covering autumn foods until the 19th to welcome the season of abundant harvests.

On the same day, Homeplus launched the second installment of the Dangdang series, the new menu items ‘Dangdang Shrimp Fried’ and ‘Dangdang Chili Shrimp Fried,’ selling them for 9,990 won and 10,990 won respectively. The product consists of 20 pieces of king prawn tempura with baby crab included. The ‘Dangdang Honey Chicken’ is a limited menu for October, sold at 7,990 won, and the ‘Extra-large Sweet and Sour Pork’ made with domestic pork is offered at 7,990 won.

The representative autumn fruit, red persimmon, is offered at 7,990 won with a 3,000 won discount when paying with one of nine major credit cards. Domestic autumn apples are also fully available. ‘Gam Hong Apple’ and ‘Yang Gwang Apple’ provide a 3,000 won discount with nine major card payments, selling at 13,990 won and 10,990 won respectively. ‘Golden Apple’ and ‘Hongok Apple’ are introduced at 9,990 won and 13,990 won each. ‘Yeongam Fig’ and seasonal domestic chestnuts can also be purchased for 9,990 won with nine major card payments.

Meat products essential for outdoor barbecues are also prepared. On the 15th and 16th, domestic ‘Grade 1 or higher premium pork belly and neck meat’ will be offered at only 1,990 won. Additionally, ‘Barley-fed Canadian pork belly, neck meat, neck butt, and front leg’ and ‘Nonghyup Safe Hanwoo soup cuts and bulgogi’ provide up to 40% discount benefits for My Homeplus membership members. Through nine major card payment benefits, Australian lamb French rack and shoulder rack are sold at a 20% discounted price, and U.S. ‘Choice grade chuck eye roll’ is sold at a 30% discounted price of 3,430 won.

Domestic live webfoot octopus is sold at 2,490 won with a 40% discount for My Homeplus membership members. For My Homeplus membership members, all products of pollock, Jeju silver hairtail, and domestic mackerel are sold at a 30% discount, live shrimp are also discounted by 30% to 2,492 won, and cleaned squid is offered at 9,960 won with a 40% discount.

Agricultural products are also prepared at reasonable prices. Pumpkin sweet potatoes, which are popular in the chilly autumn weather, are sold at 9,990 won, and from the 13th to the 16th, Matnani agricultural products will also be introduced. Matnani agricultural products are classified as out of grade in shape and size according to distribution standards but are normal products with no quality issues. ‘Matnani Cheongyang and cucumber-flavored chili peppers’ are offered at 990 won each, and ‘Matnani king oyster mushrooms’ are sold at 1,490 won.
