Shinan-gun Promotes the Taste of Shinan with Specialty Dish, Minoo Fish

Awarded 'Best Prize' for a Table of Mino Fish Dishes at the Namdo Food Culture Festival

[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] At the 2022 Namdo Food Culture Grand Festival City and County Exhibition Division Competition, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do won the grand prize with a full table of croaker dishes.

Held from the 7th to the 9th at the Yeosu World Expo Center, the 28th Namdo Food Culture Grand Festival was held under the theme "Taste of Namdo! Connecting the World!" It is a representative food festival of Namdo that introduces the representative dishes of each city and county with food as the theme, and features master chefs participating to showcase the taste and charm of Namdo.

Mr. Lee Ja-hong, who won the grand prize in this exhibition division competition, presented a variety of croaker dishes from Imjado, Sinan, the largest croaker production area in Korea, including croaker baeksuk, the best health food, croaker skin sushi with a crunchy texture, croaker tteokgalbi and croaker aged kimchi steak favored by the MZ generation, dried croaker, croaker sashimi, and croaker jeon, receiving high praise.

Mr. Lee Ja-hong said, "I am really happy to receive such a great award on my first entry, and I will strive to develop and promote food using Sinan-gun's infinite ingredients in the future."

A county official stated, "In addition to participating in the city and county exhibition division competition, we also took part in the agricultural specialty product marketplace and the general food competition. Based on this achievement, it became a good opportunity to widely promote Sinan-gun's diverse food and excellent tourist resources nationwide."
