Yeongam-gun Implements First Organizational Restructuring of the 8th Elected Administration Yeongam County Office


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, is undertaking its first organizational restructuring to successfully establish the key policies of the 8th elected administration.


According to Yeongam-gun on the 12th, to create a sustainable future for Yeongam by responding to local extinction, the 4th Industrial Revolution, climate crisis, and carbon neutrality, the organization will be restructured into ‘1 Office, 1 Officer, 17 Divisions, 1 Council, 2 Direct Subordinates, 4 Business Offices, 2 Eup, and 9 Myeon’.


Additionally, reflecting the policy direction of the 8th elected administration, 1 Officer, 2 Divisions, and 14 Teams will be newly established, and department names will also be changed.


The newly established Population and Youth Policy Division will serve as the control tower for population policies, consisting of a total of five teams: ▲Population Policy Team ▲Youth Policy Support Team ▲Migrant Support Team ▲Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Team ▲Future Education Team.


Public relations will be newly divided into the Public Relations Planning Team and Media Team, and with the addition of the Big Data Information Team, a total of three teams will be formed under the direct supervision of the Deputy Governor with the establishment of the Public Relations Officer.


The Agricultural Food Distribution Division will establish ▲Distribution Planning Team ▲Agricultural Food Future Industry Team ▲Distribution Marketing Team ▲Food Hygiene Team to promote agricultural product processing and distribution, create conditions for farmers’ income generation, foster high value-added agricultural food industries, local food, rural convergence industries (6th industry), and supply safe food.


Also, the Planning and Audit Office will form an Innovation Strategy Team to secure national and provincial budgets, apply for contests, and promote administrative innovation. The Job and Economy Division will establish an Energy Industry Team to respond to domestic and international energy and environmental changes.


The Autonomous Administration Division, renamed from the General Affairs Division, will consist of ▲Autonomous Community Team ▲Hometown Love Team, and the Culture and Tourism Division will newly establish ▲Tourism Resources Team ▲Haksan Library Team ▲Park and Recreation Team.


The Civil Safety Division, renamed from the Safety General Division, will establish a Major Accident Prevention Team, transfer the Agricultural Machinery Team to the Agricultural Technology Center, and establish a Corporate Support Team in the Daebul Corporate Support Group.


Reflecting the changes of the 8th elected administration, Yeongam-gun will rename the Finance Division to ‘Tax Accounting Division,’ the Comprehensive Civil Affairs Division to ‘Civil Affairs Communication Division,’ the Public Relations and Sports Division to ‘Sports Industry Division,’ the Women and Family Division to ‘Family Happiness Division,’ the Environmental Conservation Division to ‘Environment and Climate Division,’ the Eco-friendly Agriculture Division to ‘Agriculture and Marine Policy Division,’ the Livestock Division to ‘Livestock and Animal Division,’ the Urban Development Division to ‘Urban Design Division,’ and the Cultural Facilities Business Office to ‘Creative Culture Business Office.’


Governor Woo Seung-hee stated, “This organizational restructuring aims to efficiently promote the key projects of the 8th elected administration and national agenda, and to establish an organizational system for change and innovation led and participated in by the residents.” He added, “We will do our best to organize the structure so that high-quality administrative services can be provided from the residents’ perspective.”
