Emart to Hold Second Half Wine Market from 13th
Over 1,000 Types of Wine and Champagne Up to 70% Off
SSG.com Offers Limited Quantity 'Store Pickup' Sales for 'SSG Wine Market'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Emart and SSG.com announced on the 12th that they will hold the largest wine discount event of the second half of the year from the 13th to the 19th.
Emart will hold the "2022 Second Half Wine Market" event for a week, offering discounts of up to 70% on about 1,000 types of wine. Compared to the first half wine market, which featured about 1,600 types of wine, Emart said it reduced the selection to about 1,000 types of wines with higher customer demand, but greatly increased customer benefits for popular wines through selection and concentration.
The daily super special limited wine event, which was only held on the first and second days of the event, has been expanded to a full week, and the supply of popular items from the first half wine market has been increased by about 15%. Despite the international wine price increases due to exchange rate rises and cost increases, Emart emphasized that it secured large quantities through more than six months of advance planning and bulk orders, preparing wines at prices cheaper than the overseas average selling price. Some products were even offered at lower prices than in the first half wine market.
Emart said, "The 'Santa Rita Triple C,' considered a representative cost-effective wine from Chile, is prepared at the lowest price ever in the wine market," and "The 'Devo Cuvee de Brut,' which boasts a deeper flavor than typical champagne with five years of aging, and the 'Joseph Phelps Innisfree Cabernet Sauvignon' are offered at prices lower than the overseas average." On the 15th and 16th, '1865 Selected Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon' and 'Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon' will be offered at an additional 20% discount when paying with the event card. On the 17th and 18th, the 'Two Hands Picture Series 4 types' and 'Two Hands Garden Series 3 types' will be sold at an additional 20% discount when paying with the event card. Since last month, Emart has renewed and launched the 'Wine Grab' service on its application (app), offering exclusive Wine Grab products and separate promotions.
SSG.com will also hold the 'SSG Wine Market' event during the same period, selling limited quantities of wines and whiskeys that have attracted attention among liquor enthusiasts exclusively online. Representative wine products include the reasonably priced Grand Cru wine 'Chateau Langschi Moussa 2017,' 'Domaine A.F. Gros Bon Roman?e Aux Reas 2019,' representing Burgundy Pinot Noir, and 'Salon 2012,' known as the epitome of top-tier limited edition champagne.
In whiskey, they will offer 'Balvenie 12 Years,' which sparked an open-run craze, the limited edition 'Eagle Edition' of Korea's first single malt whiskey 'Giwon,' and the 'Yamazaki Tsukuriwake Selection 2022,' priced at 6.8 million KRW. SSG.com's liquor products can be purchased through 'store pickup orders' by ordering online and picking up at nearby Emart, Shinsegae Department Store, SSG Food Market, or Wine & More offline stores.
