[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk (Mayor Choi Kyung-sik) announced on the 11th that it will hold the ‘On Namwon Social Economy Festa’ online special sale from the 12th to the 21st to promote excellent products of social economy enterprises in the area and expand their sales channels.
Hosted by the Namwon Social Economy Council, the On Namwon Social Economy Festa showcases about 28 products produced by Namwon’s social enterprises, village enterprises, and cooperatives using local agricultural specialties, including gangjeong (traditional Korean sweets), nurungji (scorched rice), rice cakes, gim bugak (seaweed chips), chueotang (loach soup), Jirisan Dullegil goods and stamp books, as well as psychological counseling and treatment vouchers.
Beyond a simple sales event, to spread the value of social economy consumption in the region, a talk concert featuring leaders of Namwon’s social economy enterprises discussing local problem-solving, coexistence, and cooperation activities will be produced and shared through a YouTube channel.
During the 10-day festa period, online discount coupons will be provided, allowing purchases at a 40% discount off the regular price.
During the first three days of the festa, from the 12th to the 14th, live commerce will be held in real-time, enabling participants to access information about the products and communicate interactively.
The special sale and live commerce can be accessed through the On Namwon Social Economy Festa homepage and the Namwon Social Economy Council’s Naver Smart Store.
Notably, the 21 companies participating in this festa plan to donate a portion of their profits in cooperation with the Namwon Social Welfare Center to support vulnerable groups in the region.
Kang Byung-kyu, chairman of the Namwon Social Economy Council, said, “We expect that this collaborative event will raise awareness of social economy within Namwon, secure a diverse consumer base, and serve as an opportunity for continuous growth and advancement of social economy enterprises.”
