Jeongeup-si to Recruit New Vendors for 'Danpungmiin Shopping Mall' Until the 25th

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup Agricultural Technology Center (Director Jeon Jeonggi) announced on the 11th that it is recruiting new companies to join the Jeongeup Danpungmiin Shopping Mall, which has established itself as a hub brand for agricultural and specialty products.

'Danpungmiin Shopping Mall' is an online agricultural specialty product shopping mall directly operated by the city's Agricultural Technology Center.

The city is recruiting new companies to join in order to contribute to expanding sales channels for farms facing distribution difficulties at a time when online purchasing has become routine following COVID-19, in line with the food consumption trends.

Eligibility to apply is open to any individual or organization with a legal qualification for telecommunication sales of products produced and processed in Jeongeup and having an address in Jeongeup.

The application period is until the 25th, and applicants can submit the application form and other required documents in person at the Eup/Myeon office, Dong Community Center, or the Agricultural Technology Center's Technical Support Division.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, "At a time when online consumption has become routine due to COVID-19, by adding hopeful local companies, we expect to contribute to increasing sales through expanding online sales channels for agricultural specialty products and diversifying product composition."

Meanwhile, Danpungmiin Shopping Mall, which opened in 2012, has established itself as a leading local government-operated shopping mall with sales of 10 billion KRW.

It consists of 925 products from a total of 124 tenant companies and maintains its reputation as the number one shopping destination for agricultural specialty products through active online and offline promotional marketing activities.
