Expecting the Spread of 'Positive Influence' Including the Selection of DGB Hero Award

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] DGB Daegu Bank prepared various events to encourage customers and employees through its 55th anniversary celebration.

This year’s anniversary included various plans to encourage employees who did their best by working together despite the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to thank customers who have supported DGB Daegu Bank with unwavering love.

Prior to the event, the ‘DGB Dugun Dugun Community Show’ was held as a preliminary event where employees accessed a specially created platform after branch closing hours to play a simple mobile game and score points.

The scores were totaled and high scorers were awarded during the anniversary event. A ‘DGB Memory Four-Cut’ studio was set up around the basement auditorium of the head office, where employees freely took photos individually, with colleagues, or by department and posted them to create a joyful atmosphere.

During the anniversary event, to encourage internal employees, the ‘DGB Pine Tree Award’ was selected to recognize employees who serve as a strong support like a pine tree. Gifts were presented to a total of 55 employees through awards for top scorers in the preliminary game and surprise instant winners.

Next, to express gratitude to customers and convey the intention to work together with local residents, awards were presented to Mr. Woo Young-soon and Mr. Oh Seon-jin, recipients of the ‘DGB Hero Award,’ which honors local residents who deliver righteous and positive influence in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.

Mr. Woo Young-soon was selected as a symbol of volunteer work for those in need around her for over 40 years, and Mr. Oh Seon-jin was chosen for his contribution to capturing a habitual thief.

Also, a plaque ceremony was held for the ‘Red Cross Honors Company,’ the first local bank to be selected this summer.

DGB Daegu Bank plans to continue discovering heroes who create a better society by caring for others with a spirit of self-sacrifice and to continuously express gratitude.

In his commemorative speech, Lim Seong-hoon, President of DGB Daegu Bank, emphasized securing openness based on an open mindset for sustainable growth and actively responding to crises in the ESG 2.0 era.

He then held a proclamation ceremony for the marketing slogan ‘Rock (樂) in DGB,’ urging, “Let’s lock customers into DGB Daegu Bank through differentiated marketing promotion, expanded customer sales capabilities, and coexistence with the local community.”
