Prosecutors Raid Lotte Biologics Headquarters... Former Employee Suspected of 'Trade Secret Infringement'

The prosecution is known to have carried out the search and seizure in connection with allegations that three employees who moved from Samsung Biologics to Lotte Biologics leaked trade secrets.

The Criminal Division 3 of Incheon District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Son Jeong-hyun) sent prosecutors and investigators to the Lotte Biologics headquarters located in Lotte World Tower, Songpa-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the same day to secure the PCs of the three employees who transferred from Samsung Biologics to Lotte Biologics. The Criminal Division 3 of Incheon District Prosecutors' Office is a department dedicated to intellectual property crimes.

Previously, Samsung Biologics and Lotte Biologics had conflicts over trade secret infringement issues. Samsung Biologics filed a provisional injunction to prohibit the three employees who moved from Samsung Biologics to Lotte Biologics from using its internal materials, and in July, the Incheon District Court partially granted the injunction.
