Shinan-gun Signs Green New Deal Agreement to Achieve Carbon Neutrality


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] On the 4th, Sinan County in Jeonnam signed a 'Green New Deal Business Agreement for Achieving Carbon Neutrality' attended by Park Woo-ryang, Sinan County Governor; Jeon Jin-ja, Standing Chairperson of the Sinan County Sustainable Development Council; Sinseon, representative of the Green New Deal E-Forum; and Kim Deok-su, Standing Vice Chairman of the Sinan Offshore Wind Power Development Association.


Through this agreement, they agreed to mutually cooperate in nationwide campaigns to save the sea within Sinan County, promote the Green New Deal, and conduct marine environment cleanup activities. They recognize the importance of the ocean and expect to play a significant role in creating new marine future values.


Governor Park Woo-ryang stated, "Destruction of the marine ecosystem continues due to illegal fishing activities, so we will establish systematic management and prevention measures such as crackdowns, and do our best to change awareness and preserve the ecosystem through Green New Deal promotion and cleanup activities."


The Sinan County Sustainable Development Council is a public-private cooperative organization established through mutual consultation between residents, businesses, and Sinan County to realize sustainable development of Sinan County, and the Green New Deal E-Forum is a youth group dedicated to sustainable development centered on the environment and people.
