Hanwha Construction's 'Forena Pyeongtaek Hwayang' Gains Attention as Beneficiary Complex of Direct KTX Connection at Seohae Line Anjung Station

‘Forena Pyeongtaek Hwayang,’ scheduled for October sale, is attracting attention from real demand buyers as a wide-area transportation network is added to the already well-established, accessible transportation system.

First, the Pyeongtaek Hwayang district, where the complex is located, offers a locational advantage with quick access to major cities along the West Coast Belt via the Seo-Pyeongtaek IC on the Seohaean Expressway. It is also adjacent to National Route 38, which connects to the surrounding Godeok New Town and Poseung Industrial Complex, enabling fast travel within and outside Pyeongtaek.

Additionally, the double-track Seohae Line Anjung Station, scheduled to open in 2023, is just a 10-minute drive away, providing convenient subway access. The Seohae Line is a double-track railway connecting Songsan in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, to Hongseong in Chungnam Province, and development around Anjung Station is becoming more visible.

In particular, Anjung Station has a major future advantage with its planned connection to the KTX. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has finalized the ‘4th National Railway Network Plan,’ confirming the direct connection project between the Seohae Line and the Gyeongbu High-Speed Railway (KTX). Once completed, residents in the western part of Pyeongtaek will be able to take the KTX to Seoul without inconvenient transfers, reducing travel time from about 1 hour 40 minutes to around 30 minutes, significantly improving accessibility to Seoul and other major cities.

Accordingly, Pyeongtaek City anticipates that the large-scale transportation benefits centered around Anjung Station will not only enhance transportation convenience for local residents but also contribute greatly to balanced regional development. Industry experts predict that with the opening of the KTX, the center of gravity in Pyeongtaek, which had been concentrated in the eastern area, will shift to the western area where Anjung Station is located.

In addition to railways, multiple transportation networks such as highways are also planned to be expanded. A four-lane road connecting Hwayang District to Pyeongtaek Hyeonhwa District and a six-lane boulevard linking Hwayang District to Anjung Station will be newly constructed. Especially, the new road enabling quick access from Hwayang District to Anjung Station is expected to greatly improve subway station accessibility. Furthermore, the Seohaean Expressway Poseung IC and the Western Inland Expressway are also planned, which will significantly enhance access to Seoul and the metropolitan area.

An industry official said, “When new railways and roads are introduced within a region, accessibility between areas improves, making commuting more convenient, population inflow becomes active, and regional value increases. Pyeongtaek City’s Hwayang District is also a beneficiary of multiple transportation benefits such as the opening of Anjung Station, the KTX direct connection, the six-lane road connecting to Anjung Station, Seohaean Expressway Poseung IC, and the Western Inland Expressway, making its future value outstanding. As a result, demand for complexes to be sold in the future is high.”

Meanwhile, ‘Forena Pyeongtaek Hwayang’ will be built in the Hwayang District of Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province, consisting of 10 buildings ranging from 2 basement floors to 29 floors above ground, with a total of 995 households and exclusive areas ranging from 74 to 99 square meters.

Forena Pyeongtaek Hwayang is expected to offer a ‘central living zone’ location where residents can enjoy education, commerce, and administration all within easy reach. It is adjacent to a planned central commercial area of approximately 120,000 square meters, making it easy to access lifestyle convenience facilities. An elementary school (planned) will be newly established right next to the complex, providing a safe walking school environment. The largest park (planned) in the Hwayang District, a public office building (planned), and a general hospital (planned) will also be located close to the complex, offering superior locational conditions compared to any other complex in the Hwayang District.

The sales promotion center is currently operating, and the model house is scheduled to open at the end of October.
