A Man in His 20s Who Tried to Assault After Breaking into a House Jumps from the 4th Floor

The Gwangju Western Police Station announced on the 7th that they are investigating a man in his 20s, identified as A, on charges including sexual assault.

A is accused of breaking into a home in Nongsung-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, at around 5:58 a.m. that day and attempting to assault a woman in her 60s.

When the woman's son woke up after hearing her scream and tried to report to the police, A jumped out of a fourth-floor window of the house he had broken into.

A was injured from the fall and sat down at the scene, where he was found by responding police officers and transported to a nearby hospital.

The police plan to accurately ascertain the details of the incident through the victim and others, considering that A lost consciousness during transport, making interrogation difficult.
