SK Chemicals Donates Eco-Friendly Kits to Welfare Facilities SK Chemicals is joining forces with members of SK affiliates such as SK Plasma and SK Bioscience to create and donate eco-friendly kits. Creating pouches using the 'Milk Carton Eco-Friendly Kit'.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] SK Chemicals announced on the 7th that it will collaborate with members of SK affiliates such as SK Plasma and SK Bioscience to produce and donate eco-friendly kits.

The eco-friendly kit production volunteer work is a non-face-to-face volunteer activity that upcycles discarded materials into products and donates them to underprivileged groups.

In this activity, they plan to make pouches from used and discarded milk cartons in collaboration with the preliminary social enterprise 'WeChange' and donate them to children at local community centers.

This year marks the fourth time for the eco-friendly kit production volunteer activity, through which various upcycled products such as canvases, pen cases, and picture books have been created. Up to the third session, 517 members and their families from SK affiliates including SK Chemicals and SK Plasma participated in the volunteer work.

An SK Chemicals official said, “The eco-friendly kit production activity has a high participation rate among members because it helps protect the environment through resource circulation while supporting underprivileged groups,” adding, “We will continue to strive to create opportunities for members to participate in volunteer activities in various ways.”
