[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min strongly criticized the one-year additional disciplinary action against former leader Lee Jun-seok, decided by the People Power Party Central Ethics Committee on the 7th, calling it an unconstitutional idea.

On the same day, Yoo posted on his Facebook, stating, "The act of filing an injunction itself is said to be the core reason for the disciplinary action," and pointed out, "This is an unconstitutional idea that directly denies Article 27, Paragraph 1 of the Constitution, which guarantees all citizens the right to a trial."

He continued, "It is laughable that the freedom and right of a person stripped of the party leadership to seek a court's judgment for the restoration of rights is considered the core reason for disciplinary action," adding, "If 'Yangduguyuk' is a disciplinary reason, then why is party member Yoon Seok-yeol, who made the vulgar remark 'these xx, xpalrinda,' not disciplined?"

Yoo asked, "What is the Ethics Committee's stance on the misconduct of the presidential party member who lost the people's trust and caused significant damage to the party?" and questioned, "Was it mobilized to eliminate political opponents under the subcontract of power?"

He stated, "On August 28, I requested the Ethics Committee chairman and external ethics committee members to pledge not to run in the next general election, but received no response," and added, "I pride myself on not having been influenced by power and boldly demand once again that they pledge not to run in the general election even now."
