[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] During the Hangul Day holiday, conservative group rallies will be held in downtown Seoul. The police anticipate traffic congestion due to the rallies.

On the 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that on the 10th, conservative groups including the Liberty Unification Party will hold rallies near Gwanghwamun Square in Jung-gu, Seoul, and traffic inconvenience is expected. During the National Foundation Day holiday on the 3rd, conservative groups also held large-scale rallies with around 30,000 participants.

On the morning of the rally day, conservative groups plan to set up a stage for the rally around the Donghwa Duty-Free Shop area. Later in the afternoon, a large-scale rally is scheduled along Sejong-daero, from Donghwa Duty-Free Shop to Daehanmun. The police stated that the section from Sejong-daero to Daehanmun will be operated as a reversible lane, prohibiting left turns and U-turns, allowing only straight traffic.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency plans to install 30 guide signboards around the rally and march routes to minimize traffic congestion and inconvenience to citizens. About 200 traffic police officers will be deployed to guide vehicle detours and manage traffic.

A Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official said, "Traffic congestion is expected at major intersections in the downtown area, so we ask people to use public transportation such as the subway," and added, "If driving is unavoidable, please detour congested areas and follow the traffic police's hand signals carefully."
