[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] Yuhan-Kimberly and CJ CheilJedang announced on the 7th that they have signed the 'Green Action Alliance' to contribute to the expansion of a sustainable product ecosystem.
At the signing ceremony, Jin Jae-seung, CEO of Yuhan-Kimberly, and Hwang Yoon-il, CEO of CJ CheilJedang BIO Division, participated. The two companies agreed to mutually cooperate to achieve their sustainability goals through technological innovation, actively participate in product development and market expansion using sustainable materials, and develop and supply eco-friendly products made from PHA, a pure microorganism-based biodegradable plastic, thereby accelerating climate change response and ESG management practices.
Yuhan-Kimberly expects that expanding collaboration with CJ CheilJedang will greatly contribute to the expansion of sustainable products that combine environmental performance and innovation based on eco-friendly raw materials. In particular, the diverse raw material supply based on CJ CheilJedang's strength in eco-friendly biodegradable material PHA is expected to enhance the sustainability of products such as diapers, wet wipes, masks, and various packaging materials.
