[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] IL Science announced on the 7th that it successfully exhibited optical silicone lenses while consulting with buyers at the world's largest lighting fair, '2022 Light + Building,' held in Frankfurt, Germany from the 2nd to the 6th.
This exhibition, held for the first time in four years since COVID-19, featured over 1,500 companies from 46 countries showcasing the latest lighting and architectural solutions.
IL Science introduced new products that expanded the application of its patented optical silicone lenses to vehicle headlamps and interior lamps. During the five-day exhibition, in-depth consultations were held with buyers from 90 companies across 32 countries including the United States, Germany, France, and Spain, discussing technological capabilities, industry-specific applications, unit price and delivery competitiveness.
The company evaluated that through this exhibition, it confirmed the competitiveness of optical silicone lenses and achieved results in exploring the potential applications in various industries such as the future automotive sector.
Song Seong-geun, CEO of IL Science, stated, "We confirmed the high interest of overseas companies in our innovative technology at this exhibition," adding, "We will sign partnership agreements with carefully selected excellent companies to fully enter the global market and leap forward as a core electronic component company in the future automotive industry through continuous research and development."
Meanwhile, IL Science plans to start mass production of silicone lenses for automotive lamps using the dispensing method at its Cheonan smart factory from this month.
