Inviting Related Organizations and Family Companies to Introduce Industry-Academic-Research Support Projects
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Suncheon National University (President Ko Young-jin) announced that it held the ‘2022 SCNU Industry-Academia-Research Shared Collaboration Forum’ at 3 p.m. on the 16th at the Marina Suncheon Convention Center to establish an organic cooperation system with local companies and institutions and to discover industry-academia-research cooperation projects that will lead regional development.
Hosted by the Suncheon National University Industry-Academia Cooperation Group, about 100 industry-academia-research cooperation officials from related organizations such as Jeonnam Technopark, Small and Medium Business Corporation, Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Korea Environment Corporation, Korea Chemical Convergence Testing & Research Institute, Korean Peninsula Economic Research Institute, and more than 50 local companies participated in this shared collaboration forum.
President Ko Young-jin announced the start of the forum through a welcoming speech, saying, “Based on the knowledge-based technology and know-how possessed by the national Suncheon National University, we have prepared this event today to accelerate corporate development in connection with local cooperative institutions and to communicate with many people to nurture talent tailored to local industries.”
At the event, Suncheon National University introduced the major ongoing industry-academia-research cooperation projects and new projects being promoted to foster future new business fields, including ▲Corporate Collaboration Center ▲Field Training ▲Employee Education, which are industry-academia-research cooperation programs operated by the university, and discussed plans for promoting new cooperation projects.
In addition, the university presented certification plaques to family companies that have established an organic cooperative relationship with Suncheon National University and introduced various local business development support projects promoted by organizations such as Jeonnam Technopark Foundation, Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency Foundation, and Small and Medium Business Corporation, aiming for co-growth among university, companies, and institutions.
Sim Chun-bo, head of the Suncheon National University Industry-Academia Cooperation Group, said, “Recently, to rapidly promote innovation projects based on regional cooperation, we have launched an internal ‘Future New Business Promotion Team’ within the university,” adding, “In the future, for regional development, through various projects cooperating with the region such as a startup-centered university, space launch vehicle cluster creation, smart farm innovation valley creation, and university campus innovation park, we will create more opportunities for communication both inside and outside so that our university can play a central role in establishing the region’s industry-academia-research cooperation foundation.”
