TmaxEdu Changes Company Name to 'TmaxRG'

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] TmaxEdu, which has been providing AI-based educational services, announced on the 7th that it has changed its company name to 'TmaxRG' to newly advance as a specialized education and knowledge platform company.

TmaxRG plans to lead digital innovation in the education and knowledge sectors through Tmax's comprehensive management platform, the 'Super App.'

TmaxRG was established as a separate corporation earlier this year, independent from TmaxAI, to strengthen its business in the education field. It has been providing personalized educational services such as 'Waffle Math,' tailored to individual learning levels and goals, based on Tmax's AI technology.

The newly changed name 'RG' was adopted to emphasize the company's expertise as a platform enterprise bringing innovation to education and knowledge through various advanced technologies, with multiple nuanced meanings in Korean and Chinese characters. It is an abbreviation of 'Rich Knowledge' and also incorporates the Chinese character '知 (Ji),' meaning 'to know,' as well as the colloquial expression '알지?' (You know?), aiming to make 'TmaxRG' easily memorable.

Starting with the name change, TmaxRG envisions expanding its business beyond edutech services to a platform encompassing all areas of education and knowledge. By integrating technologies such as DB (Database), OS (Operating System), Office, AI, Cloud, and Metaverse, Tmax aims to lead changes in the educational paradigm and pioneer a new era of knowledge based on the upcoming 'Super App.'

From the first half of next year, TmaxRG plans to sequentially launch new concept learning, education, and knowledge platforms based on the Super App. Currently, it is developing ▲ 'RG STUDY,' a metaverse and AI-based personalized learning platform tailored to different levels ▲ 'RG Class,' an education platform that supports student-customized classes based on a systematic knowledge DB and AI technology, reducing teachers' burdens in lesson preparation and management ▲ 'RG A-Book,' a knowledge platform updated through an app beyond traditional books, innovating authors' creative methods and book distribution environments.
