[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lotte Duty Free announced on the 7th that it was selected as the 'Online Duty Free Store of the Year' at the 'Frontier Awards 2022' held in Cannes, France on the 5th (local time).


The Frontier Awards is the most prestigious global tourism distribution industry awards ceremony hosted annually by the UK duty-free magazine DFNI. A panel of judges composed of experts from various sectors of the tourism distribution industry, including airports, cruises, duty-free shops, and brand companies, selects outstanding companies that have shone in the global industry across 20 categories based on excellence, creativity, and innovation.


This year, Lotte Duty Free was the only domestic duty-free store to receive an award at the Frontier Awards. Over the past year, Lotte Duty Free received high praise for presenting a differentiated online business model by implementing ▲a complete overhaul of its online platform ▲launching the online duty-free luxury store 'Sogong 1beonji' ▲exhibiting metaverse duty-free content at 'CES 2022' ▲strengthening brand collaboration experiential marketing such as online beauty classes ▲introducing smart receipts.


Lee Gap, CEO of Lotte Duty Free, said, "It is meaningful to be recognized for our efforts as an innovative company leading the online duty-free market," and added, "We will continue to work harder to provide online services that satisfy our customers."
