Donation of Ramen and Bottled Water to 100 Households in Jjokbangchon
Seven Eleven and Ministop officials are carrying out sharing activities at a temporary free meal service center in the west square of Daejeon Station.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Seven Eleven and Ministop announced on the 7th that they conducted a free meal sharing activity for underprivileged neighbors in the Daejeon area to welcome the chilly autumn mornings and evenings.
About 30 franchise owners and employees from both Seven Eleven and Ministop participated in this sharing activity. The volunteer group personally prepared food for about 300 people, which was delivered to underprivileged neighbors in the local community who visited the temporary free meal center in the west square of Daejeon Station. The menu consisted of Jeonju-style bibimbap with various vegetables to replenish lacking nutrients, hamburger steak, beef radish soup, fruits, and more.
Seven Eleven also donated 1,000 packs each of ramen and bottled water to 100 households in the Daejeon gosiwon village through the welfare corporation Bethel House. The gosiwon village sharing volunteer work is one of Seven Eleven’s signature social contribution activities, which has continued for 10 years since it began supporting bottled water in the Dongdaemun gosiwon village during the heatwave in 2013.
A Seven Eleven official said, “As the weather has recently become chilly, franchise owners and employees from both companies prepared a nutritious and warm meal for underprivileged neighbors in the area,” adding, “We will continue to promote various social contribution programs for underprivileged neighbors and take the lead in activities for the local community.”
