Over 60 Works Depicting Local Scenes on Display Until the 31st
Members of the Korea Overseas Volunteer Association (KOVA) will exhibit around 60 works capturing scenes from their overseas volunteer activities on the first floor of the observatory at Gyeongju Expo Park.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Gyeongju Expo Park will host a multicultural understanding photo exhibition organized by the Korea Overseas Volunteer Association (KOVA).
This photo exhibition follows the memorandum of understanding signed on April 6 between the two organizations for "public interest realization and social contribution." It features photos taken by KOVA members during their overseas volunteer activities, aiming to deepen understanding of multicultural society and foster mature civic awareness.
From the 5th until the 31st of this month, about 60 works will be displayed. This exhibition is expected to contribute to raising proper awareness of KOICA overseas volunteer activities and Official Development Assistance (ODA), as well as spreading a proper volunteer culture.
KOVA is a non-profit private organization established by returned volunteers who participated in overseas volunteer work through KOICA. It promotes the culture of proper volunteer activities domestically and internationally, enhances understanding of multiculturalism, supports marginalized groups worldwide, and conducts public interest social activities.
Ryu Hee-rim, CEO of Gyeongju Expo Park, said, "I hope this photo exhibition will serve as an opportunity to raise interest in marginalized groups around the world, deepen understanding of their cultures, and enhance awareness of a proper volunteer culture."
