[Breaking] 12 Protest Formation Flights Including 2 Northern Bombers

[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] Twelve North Korean military aircraft conducted a protest formation flight south of the Special Surveillance Line. The military is judging this as a protest flight.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 6th, "Around 2 p.m., a formation of North Korean bombers and fighter jets conducted a protest flight south of the Special Surveillance Line."

Our military immediately responded by mobilizing about 30 aircraft, including air power and emergency scramble follow-up forces.

A military official stated, "It is estimated that North Korea unusually conducted this formation flight along with ground attack firing training."

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said, "Under close ROK-US cooperation, we are closely monitoring North Korean related movements and maintaining a firm readiness posture to prepare for provocations."
