Gyeongnam Police Agency Holds Joint Meeting to Reduce Traffic Accidents
Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency held a joint meeting with related organizations to prevent traffic accidents.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] On the 6th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency held a joint meeting to reduce traffic accidents involving pedestrians and two-wheeled vehicles.
About 20 officials from nine organizations, including Gyeongsangnam-do, the Gyeongnam Autonomous Police Committee, and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, attended the meeting.
According to the Provincial Police Agency, they agreed to establish an organic cooperation system for traffic safety measures that had been dispersed across each organization.
They pledged to create a safe Gyeongnam by complementing and coordinating overlapping policies, implementing effective policies, and fostering a social atmosphere to reduce traffic accidents.
Kim Hyunsik, head of the Traffic Division at the Gyeongnam Police Agency, said, “To prevent traffic accidents, let us pool the capabilities of related organizations to implement cost-effective policies by sharing roles and cooperating with each other,” adding, “We ask the local community to also participate in protecting the precious lives of residents from traffic accidents.”
