[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Hyun-ji] The leadership of the People Power Party expressed their welcome on the 6th regarding the dismissal and rejection of the provisional injunction filed by former party leader Lee Jun-seok against the party and the ‘Jeong Jin-seok Emergency Response Committee,’ emphasizing their commitment to fulfilling the role of the ruling party.

Jeong Jin-seok, the Emergency Response Committee Chair of the People Power Party, posted on his Facebook immediately after the court’s decision, saying, “I am grateful for the court’s wise judgment,” and added, “We will do our utmost to establish a stable leadership system for the ruling party and firmly support the Yoon Seok-yeol administration.”

He continued, “Due to internal party strife, we caused prolonged concern to the public and party members. We will renew our resolve and move forward vigorously with united strength.”

Floor Leader Joo Ho-young also commented, “It is a natural decision,” and said, “I think it is truly fortunate that the party leadership has regained stability through this decision.”

Chief Spokesperson Yang Geum-hee released a statement on the same day, saying, “Now, the Emergency Response Committee will focus on resolving the party’s turmoil and enabling the People Power Party to be reborn as the ruling party that leads the success of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration.”
