[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jung-wan] A man in his 60s who was mowing grass at a children's park in Iksan, Jeonbuk, died after being stung by hornets.
According to the Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters on the 5th, at around 4:05 PM that day, Mr. A (63) was stung by hornets while mowing grass at Dongcho Children's Park in Eoyang-dong, Iksan-si, Jeonbuk, and died.
Mr. A, a fixed-term worker affiliated with Iksan City, was reportedly working alone at the time of the accident.
119 emergency responders who arrived after a witness's report transported Mr. A, who was in cardiac arrest, to a nearby university hospital, but he ultimately passed away.
The fire authorities estimate that Mr. A disturbed a hornet's nest during work and was stung dozens of times on his body.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
