[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk Province, will conduct the '2022 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey' until December 28.
According to the city on the 6th, the resident registration fact-finding survey is conducted simultaneously nationwide every year based on the Resident Registration Act to align citizens' actual residence with their registered address.
This fact-finding survey targets all households, with a focus on households suspected of having deceased members, households with long-term absentees and school-age children not attending school, and households including welfare-vulnerable groups. Joint investigation teams composed of public officials and community leaders from each eup, myeon, and dong will be formed to conduct on-site visits to these priority households as a principle.
Starting this year, a non-face-to-face digital fact-finding survey method has been newly introduced.
Survey subjects access the non-face-to-face survey system by logging in with government24 (mobile) personal authentication from their registered address and respond to the fact-finding questions.
Even if participants take part in the non-face-to-face digital survey, telephone surveys will be conducted as supplementary measures. If discrepancies between actual residence and registered address are found, individual investigations will be conducted and resolved by official action.
During the resident registration fact-finding survey period, a voluntary reporting reduction system is operated, allowing residents who report incorrect resident registration details truthfully at eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers to receive a reduction in fines from 50% up to 75%.
To prepare for this fact-finding survey, the city conducted job training on the 5th for 23 resident registration officers from eup, myeon, and dong.
A city official said, "This resident registration fact-finding survey aims to improve residents' welfare, including focused investigations to eliminate welfare blind spots. We ask for residents' active cooperation when investigators visit."
