Gangjin-gun Declares 'Invitation to A, Again Namdo Tour No.1 Gangjin'

Participation of All Social Strata of Military Residents, Wishing to Attract 5 Million Tourists

On the 5th, at the special stage on Yeongnang-ro in Gangjin-eup, about 1,000 residents from all walks of life, including Gangjinwon, the county governor of Gangjin, attended the proclamation ceremony of "Invitation to A, Again Namdo Exploration No.1 Gangjin."

Starting with Governor Gangjinwon's proclamation to open the era of 5 million tourists and reestablish the status of Namdo Exploration No.1, various events followed, including the promotional video for the Gangjinman Dancing Reed Festival and a grand event lottery. Participants released 500 rainbow-colored balloons together, praying for attracting tourists.

Also, the first public lottery of the "1 Million Jackpot Event," which offers prizes worth a total of 100 million won by entering through the Gangjin County Office KakaoTalk channel or QR codes installed at major tourist sites in Gangjin, was held, followed by congratulatory performances by invited singers such as Hong Jin-young and Shin Yu.

Gangjinwon, the governor of Gangjin County, said, "Gangjin has the strength to successfully promote the 'Gangjin Visit Year' in 2017 and 'Invitation to A' in 2018 with the power of its residents," adding, "Starting from today's proclamation ceremony, let all residents unite their hearts once again to create a tourism boom and open a new era of Gangjin with increased population and jobs."

Meanwhile, the "A" in Invitation to A Again Gangjin symbolizes the terrain of Gangjin, and "Again Gangjin" means to realize once again the successful case of doubling the number of tourists compared to before by designating and operating the "Gangjin Visit Year" in 2017.

Through this proclamation ceremony, the county will embark on full-scale preparations to recreate the glory of five years ago and make a leap forward as a tourist city.
