A Meaningful Time for Mutual Growth Between Returning Farmers and Fishermen and Local Residents
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shim Jeong-woo] Jeonnam Goheung-gun (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 6th that the Goheung-gun Returning Farmers and Fishermen Talent Sharing Volunteer Group had a meaningful time sharing warm hands by visiting neighbors in need.
The Returning Farmers and Fishermen Talent Sharing Volunteer Group is an organization formed to prevent conflicts with local residents and broaden understanding of the local community by fostering intimacy and emotional empathy with residents through volunteer activities that share each member's talents with neighbors in need.
The volunteer group recruited participants willing to volunteer among returning farmers and fishermen who have newly settled in Goheung-gun, forming the volunteer members. They communicate with village residents through talent donation activities targeting neighbors in need, fostering harmony.
On this day, the volunteer group visited a needy household in Gwaryeok-myeon and carried out talent donation activities such as wallpaper and flooring replacement and environmental cleanup, spending a meaningful and happy time with the residents.
One volunteer said, “We are very pleased that our talents are being used for the local residents, and we hope that such volunteer activities will continue so that returning farmers and fishermen and local residents can communicate and harmonize together, creating precious moments.”
Meanwhile, Goheung-gun plans to expand various policies to ensure that returning farmers and fishermen and local residents can harmonize and settle stably by establishing and implementing a comprehensive plan for the settlement of returning farmers and fishermen in the local community, which is a pledge of the 8th civilian administration.
