Gyeongnam National University and Hadong World Tea Expo Sign Business Agreement for Expo Success

Mutual Cooperation Agreement for Expo Promotion and Visitor Attraction

Gyeongnam National University and Hadong World Tea Expo Sign Business Agreement for Expo Success Gyeongnam National University signed a business agreement with the Hadong World Tea Expo Organizing Committee for the successful hosting of the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the morning of the 6th, Gyeongnam National University signed a business agreement with the Hadong World Tea Expo Organizing Committee for the "Successful Hosting of the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo" at the main building's international seminar room.


The 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo, under the theme "Scent of Nature, Healthy Future, Tea (Cha)!", is scheduled to be grandly held for 31 days from May 4 to June 3, 2023, at Hadong Sports Park, Hadong Wild Tea Culture Festival Site, Changwon, Gimhae, and other areas throughout Gyeongnam.


Through this agreement, both organizations promised mutual cooperation for the successful hosting of the expo, including ▲ promotion of the expo and attracting visitors ▲ promotion of volunteer recruitment and manpower support ▲ educational field experience and tours linked to the expo.


President Park Jae-gyu said, "I sincerely welcome Deputy Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do Kim Byung-gyu and the organizing committee members visiting Gyeongnam National University," adding, "As the global tea market is rapidly growing and this is the first expo in Korea themed on 'Tea (Cha)', as a university working with the local community, we will spare no effort in supporting the successful hosting of this international event."


Deputy Governor Kim Byung-gyu said, "It is meaningful to sign this agreement with Gyeongnam National University, a prestigious institution representing Gyeongnam that has long worked with the region and led educational innovation and future talent development, for the successful hosting of the expo," and added, "I hope for much support for the successful hosting of this international event involving participants worldwide and for the future that Korean traditional tea will unfold."


Attending the agreement ceremony were Gyeongnam National University President Park Jae-gyu, Gyeongsangnam-do Deputy Governor Kim Byung-gyu, Gyeongnam National University Planning and Coordination Director Hong Jeong-hyo, Academic Affairs Director Choi Seon-wook, Student Affairs Director Kim Jae-gu, Hadong World Tea Expo Organizing Committee Secretary General Park Ok-soon, Planning Headquarters Director Lee Jin-seop, Operations Headquarters Director Choi Young-gyu, and other related personnel.
