Hamyang Namgye Seowon Embarks on World Heritage Media Art Expedition

Held throughout October under the theme "Song of Light, Illuminating Seowon"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Namgye Seowon World Heritage Media Art in Hamyang, Gyeongnam, embarked on a grand journey starting with the reenactment of the Sacheok Bong-an Ceremony on September 30.

Hosted by the Cultural Heritage Administration, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Hamyang County, this event, themed "Song of Light, Illuminating the Seowon," will be held daily from 6 PM to 9 PM at Hamyang Namgye Seowon until the 30th.

In particular, on the first day of the event, September 30 at 6 PM, the Sacheok Bong-an Rite of Namgye Seowon was held at Hamyang Namgye Seowon.

This reenactment event, attended by Jin Byeong-yeong, the mayor of Hamyang County, and others, attracted much attention through a Sacheok procession from Hyori Village in Sudong-myeon to Hamyang Namgye Seowon and the Bong-an Ceremony celebrating the royal decree at the Seowon Plaza of Namgye Seowon.

During the media art period, at Pungyeong-ro in Namgye Seowon, the main media art performances using media facade and laser special effects will be held twice daily at 7 PM and 8 PM.

Additionally, the Namgye Seowon Premium Trail is designed with various lighting, music, and videos to allow visitors to relax and reflect.

A county official said, "Many visitors came to the Hamyang Namgye Seowon World Heritage Media Art last weekend, and we are pleased to share the universal value and beauty of the World Cultural Heritage Hamyang Namgye Seowon," adding, "We will strive for extensive promotion and smooth operation to ensure a successful event."
