Evaluation Panel of 20 Including Residents and Experts Discusses 49 Pledge Projects Across 5 Major Areas
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] Jeonnam Gokseong-gun (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that on the 5th, it held the appointment ceremony for the 8th term public pledge implementation evaluation team and a practical plan report meeting to ensure substantial and transparent evaluation of pledge projects.
Gokseong-gun allocated personnel by town and township according to population ratio, and from September 6 to September 15, selected 14 members of the 8th term public pledge implementation evaluation team through open recruitment and random drawing.
Adding experts from various fields, a total of 20 members were formed for the 8th term public pledge implementation evaluation team.
On the 5th, Gokseong-gun held the appointment ceremony for the evaluation team prior to the report meeting.
Subsequently, the evaluation team held an internal meeting to elect member Kang Dae-kwang and member Park Onam as team leader and deputy leader respectively, and took time to familiarize themselves with the roles and duties of the public pledge implementation evaluation team.
The public pledge implementation evaluation team regularly inspects and evaluates the fulfillment of pledges and plays roles such as providing opinions on changes to the pledge implementation plans.
In the main meeting chaired by the team leader, discussions continued on 49 pledge projects across five major sectors of Gokseong-gun.
The heads of the departments responsible for the pledge projects reported the implementation plans for each project to the evaluation team, after which the team provided feedback. The evaluation team meticulously reviewed the funding, project feasibility, and legal and institutional feasibility of the pledge projects.
In particular, for pledges that inevitably changed from the original election manifesto, Gokseong-gun and the public pledge implementation evaluation team thoroughly exchanged opinions on the necessity and rationality of the changes, forming a mutual consensus on the proposed amendments.
After reviewing the opinions raised at this report meeting, Gokseong-gun plans to supplement and revise the pledges and finalize the pledge project implementation plan.
Governor Lee Sang-cheol of Gokseong-gun said, “With the administrative goal of ‘a happier Gokseong for its citizens,’ we finalized 49 pledge projects across five major sectors through various processes to bring greater happiness to each citizen. As we implement these pledges, we will listen carefully to the valuable opinions from the public pledge implementation evaluation team to find the best practical measures and successfully carry out the projects.”
Kang Dae-kwang, team leader of the public pledge implementation evaluation team, said, “On behalf of the citizens, we will check whether the 8th term pledges are being implemented as originally planned and do our best with the 19 members to effectively convey the opinions of the citizens.”
