[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Lutronic announced on the 6th that the UFC Performance Institute (PI) has decided to utilize 'Accufit,' sold by Lutronic's US branch, to help UFC athletes recover quickly.
The UFC PI is the world's first comprehensive mixed martial arts research center, providing state-of-the-art services to UFC athletes. Experts from various fields reside there to support athletes in performing at their best.
Accufit is a medical device that offers multidimensional muscle exercise and helps improve body contours through precisely controlled electrical stimulation. Heather Linden, UFC Physical Therapist, explained the reason for adoption: “Using Accufit allows rehabilitation training that contracts both concentric and eccentric muscles even immediately after surgery. We have confirmed excellent results where Accufit, combined with UFC PI's advanced rehabilitation protocols, reduces muscle atrophy and promotes muscle activation.”
Accufit is a product introduced by Lutronic to expand its portfolio. It is sold locally by Lutronic's US branch, and there are no plans for domestic release yet.
A Lutronic official said, “Accufit is a medical device designed from the planning stage to implement various exercise patterns, enabling efficient muscle activation. Since it is used in official training and rehabilitation of UFC athletes who perform intense physical exercise, we expect to expand Accufit's sales in the US market.”
