Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Announces Recruitment of 465 Secondary School Teachers for Next Year Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 5th through its website the "2023 Academic Year Public and Private Secondary School Teachers, Special (Secondary) · Health · Nutrition · Librarian · Professional Counselor Teacher Candidate Selection Competitive Examination Implementation Plan."


This appointment exam plans to select a total of 465 candidates (348 public · 117 private) across 28 subjects, including Korean.


For public school teachers, the selection will be ▲Secondary 239 ▲Special (Secondary) 6 ▲Health 29 ▲Nutrition 22 ▲Librarian 3 ▲Professional Counselor 23 ▲Disabled 26. Starting this year, the disabled teacher category will implement a total quota system for disabled recruitment, selecting candidates for all subjects instead of only some subjects as before.


For private schools, 117 candidates will be selected from 43 schools that applied for consignment recruitment. The Office of Education will select up to five times the number of candidates through the first exam and notify the school foundations, which will then conduct the second exam (in-depth interviews, teaching demonstrations, etc.) to select the final successful candidates.


Among these, 19 schools including Mokpo Jeongmyeong High School have entrusted part of the second exam (teaching demonstration, practical test) to the Office of Education, and Deungnyang Middle School has entrusted the entire second exam to the Office of Education.


The number of public secondary school teacher positions has increased by 33 from the preliminary announced number of 315 in July. Applications can be submitted online through the online recruitment system from the 17th to the 21st for five days.
