Changwon Special City, Over 3,500 Visitors Including Library Staff Nationwide, Academia, and Related Organizations
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] The '59th National Library Conference and Exhibition,' which will be attended by over 3,500 people including library staff from across the country, academia, and related organizations, will be held in Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, for three days from the 12th to the 14th.
Hosted by the Korean Library Association, the National Library Conference and Exhibition is the largest event for librarians, where library professionals from all over the country gather annually to acquire the latest information and knowledge through various academic lectures and cultural exhibitions, and to engage in mutual exchange and communication.
This year's conference, held onsite for the first time in three years after being conducted online for the past two years due to COVID-19, will feature a total of 46 academic lectures and a library culture exhibition showcasing advanced library technologies and products under the slogan "Back to Normal! Libraries Together."
In particular, the city will operate a special booth for two days starting from the 12th to promote excellent achievements in city administration and libraries. Additionally, from the 13th to the 14th, the second day of the conference, unique experiential tourism programs distinctive to Changwon will be prepared to promote the city, including ▲ shooting experience at Changwon International Shooting Range ▲ Masan Changdong old downtown alley tour ▲ Jinhae modern cultural history road tour. On the third day of the conference, the 14th, a tour program of excellent libraries within Changwon, including Changwon Central Library, will be conducted.
