Startup Network Building, Sharing Entrepreneurship Information
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Startup incubator companies that will realize future dreams have gathered.
The Startup Support Group of Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 5th that it recently held the 2022 Busan Regional Startup Incubation Center Resident Companies Joint Networking Day at Avani Central Hotel.
This event was organized to strengthen the network among resident companies of startup incubation centers in the Busan area and to share startup information. A total of 41 participants, including representatives of 26 resident companies from five universities in the Busan area such as Dongseo University and Pukyong National University, mentors, and university officials, took part.
The event was conducted in a mentoring format divided into five fields: startup special lectures, IT/app development, investment consultation/IR, business model, marketing/management consulting, fundraising/technology consulting, and R&D.
On this day, Kang Jong-su, CEO of Colz Dynamics Co., Ltd., who was invited as a mentor in the startup special lecture, management consulting, and fundraising fields, is the person who sold the company he founded in his 20s during university for 8 billion KRW. He later founded the first accelerator company in Busan and Gyeongnam. CEO Kang gave practical advice on promising startups from the perspective of investors under the theme "Entrepreneurs and Investors."
Park Hyung-bae, CEO of Vintogether Co., Ltd., invited as a mentor in the IT/app development field, founded ‘Plus Technology,’ the predecessor of Kosdaq-listed company Susan INT, and successfully exited. In 2016, he was awarded the Industrial Medal and generously shared the full story of startup growth.
Kim Woe-yeon, CEO of Edu Matching Co., Ltd., said, “All the mentors were startup experts, so time flew by. It was meaningful to gain valuable tips that cannot be heard anywhere else and to expand my network.”
In his congratulatory remarks, Kwon Kyung-su, head of the Dongseo University Startup Incubation Center, said, “The startup incubation center is the mecca of university-originated startups. Through such networking events, exchanges between incubation centers will become more active, and the university will take the lead in making Busan a startup-friendly city.”
Currently, there are about 330 startups residing in 17 startup incubation centers in Busan, and along with two centers housing about 60 companies in Ulsan, the Busan-Ulsan Startup Incubation Center Association (BUBIA) is organized and operated.
BUBIA supports the growth of resident companies through various corporate support programs along with Networking Day.
