[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeonnam Haenam-gun announced on the 5th that it has confirmed a total of four new sewerage projects for next year: the Haenam-eup Andong Sewer Pipeline Maintenance Project, Samsan Singi, Samsan Gamdang, and Bukil Galdu Rural Village Sewerage Maintenance Projects.

The project budget secured a total of 18.7 billion KRW, including 10.9 billion KRW in national funds. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2025 and is expected to benefit about 5,000 residents by improving the water quality of public water areas and enhancing a pleasant residential environment, thereby improving the quality of life.

In particular, Singi Village in Samsan-myeon is currently developing the 2nd Sports Town, which is expected to increase sewage treatment volume. Therefore, the rural village sewerage maintenance project is anticipated to help create a pleasant living environment through the purification treatment of domestic sewage and other wastewaters.

Accordingly, next year, a total of 19 sewerage projects worth 99.6 billion KRW (including 62 billion KRW in national funds) will be promoted, including 15 ongoing projects such as the expansion of the Haenam-eup Public Sewage Treatment Plant.

A county official stated, "We plan to expand sewerage coverage through active project promotion," and added, "Since the projects will be carried out over multiple years, there may be inconveniences to residents, but we ask for their understanding and active cooperation."
