Korea Integrated Medicine Expo Held After 3 Years
[Gurye=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] Jeollanam-do Gurye-gun announced that it participated in the Physical Activity Contest held on the 3rd in Anyang-myeon, Jangheung-gun, at the Korea Integrated Medicine Expo and won the Excellence Award.
The 2022 Korea Integrated Medicine Expo was held from September 30 to October 4 (5 days) at the Jangheung International Integrated Medicine Expo Center under the slogan "Integrated Medicine, Embracing Healing and Cure."
Integrated medicine is a patient-centered new medical service that aims to heal not only the external symptoms of diseases but also the patient's mind by combining modern medicine, Korean medicine, and complementary and alternative medicine with proven therapeutic effects.
At this event, visitors can tour six exhibition halls, including the Integrated Medicine Hall, and participate in experiential programs such as healing activities.
On October 3, the county performed health gymnastics under the team name "Red Flavor Sansuyu Gurye" at the "Health Promotion Physical Activity Contest," which involved 22 local governments in Jeollanam-do, and won the Excellence Award.
In addition to health gymnastics and performances, the team passionately promoted Gurye-gun by engaging the audience's response and applause at the event venue using Sansuyu and Suyu characters.
The "Red Flavor Sansuyu Gurye" team was composed of participants from the obesity escape health class, which resumed face-to-face after three years due to COVID-19, and practiced strength exercises and health gymnastics using step boxes and dumbbells.
They also gathered daily to practice ahead of the contest, sweating profusely to prepare for the competition.
The host of the Physical Activity Contest said, "Gurye-gun prepared a lot, including exciting health gymnastics, promotion using Gurye-gun characters, and enthusiastic cheering. The Gurye 5-day Market is famous nationwide, so I highly recommend visiting it."
A county official said, "The members of the Red Flavor Sansuyu Gurye team participated passionately from start to finish, and the harmony among the team members made the performance even more splendid. Also, through preparing for the contest, they gained not only obesity escape but also health."
