Including 10 Disaster Victim Shelter Facilities Such as Sanbuk-myeon Village Hall
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 5th that it has decided to promote water bill reductions for residents affected by the heavy rains in August.
The reduction targets 293 locations using water services among households registered in the National Disaster Management System (NDMS) across all towns, townships, and neighborhoods of Yeoju City that suffered facility damage. Additionally, 10 locations, including the Sanbuk-myeon village hall, which served as shelters for disaster victims during the flood period, will also receive reductions.
Starting from October, 50% of the water bills will be reduced for three months, and to facilitate affected households, the reductions will be applied collectively without separate applications.
If additional victims are identified, reductions will be granted upon separate application.
