[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] hy is expanding its delivery service area by introducing a service that delivers credit cards through Fresh Manager.

According to the industry on the 5th, hy signed a business agreement with Shinhan Card in May to deliver credit cards and has been preparing an internal system suitable for card delivery over several months. They introduced a dedicated application (app) to a mobile POS and completed on-site training, including improving logistics security levels. Currently, the service is being tested in some areas, and it plans to expand the service nationwide from the end of this month.

With the introduction of this service, customers can comfortably receive their cards at their desired time and place while communicating in real-time with Fresh Manager. Upon card arrival, customers need to verify their identity with an ID and complete a receipt confirmation signature. The fees charged after delivery completion also contribute to increasing Fresh Manager's income.

The two companies are actively collaborating beyond card delivery. Recently, they launched the ‘Predit Membership Shinhan Card,’ which supports the paid membership fee for hy’s online mall Predit. Starting with the partnership delivery of the household goods specialist ‘Wiseley’ in April, hy has been actively developing a new business, ‘Predit Delivery Service,’ utilizing its logistics network. Expanding the service area from fulfillment supporting both refrigerated and room temperature, to cross-dock, parcel delivery, local delivery, and now card delivery, hy plans to accelerate its market penetration.

Kim Jung-woo, head of hy’s delivery business team, said, "The number of Shinhan Card deliveries is expected to exceed 10,000 per month this year and increase further next year," adding, "We plan to expand delivery services into various areas with stable logistics, high delivery quality, and shipper-customized services."
