Kia Launches the More Luxurious 'The 2023 K9'


[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kia announced on the 5th that it will launch the year-change model of its flagship sedan K9, ‘The 2023 K9.’


The new K9 features enhanced luxury with newly applied standard specifications and improved product appeal by adding customer-preferred functions to some optional packages.


First, Kia increased customer satisfaction by standardizing new features such as metal pedals and a high-performance combi filter with antibacterial treatment that more effectively filters fine dust and bacteria inside and outside the vehicle across all trims.


The ‘Best Selection I’ package, which combines popular items, includes the customer-preferred 12.3-inch supervision cluster, allowing customers to experience the enhanced high-end feel of the flagship sedan. The ‘Best Selection I’ package consists of the newly added 12.3-inch supervision cluster, ▲monitoring pack ▲comfort pack ▲19-inch wheels & tires ▲head-up display ▲AWD, and is available on the platinum trims of the 3.8 gasoline and 3.3 gasoline turbo models.

Kia also newly operates an exclusive customizing product, an interior and exterior vehicle protection film package that protects the vehicle from scratches. When selecting the package, protective films are applied to the vehicle’s ▲front bumper sides and lower parts ▲rear bumper sides and upper parts ▲side mirrors ▲door steps ▲center parts of front and rear doors, and interior displays.


The price of The 2023 K9 is 57.72 million KRW for the 3.8 gasoline model platinum trim and 72.15 million KRW for the Masters trim, and 64.20 million KRW for the 3.3 gasoline turbo model platinum trim and 76.87 million KRW for the Masters trim.


Meanwhile, Kia will conduct various marketing activities along with the launch of The 2023 K9. First, it will run a TV commercial campaign featuring coach Choi Jin-cheol, a legend in the soccer world and a key figure in the 2002 World Cup, portraying the image of a leader who quietly maintains his position.


Additionally, for K9 membership customers, premium invitation programs tailored to their lifestyles will be operated, such as the ‘K9 Golf Class with Pro Im Jin-han (November)’ and the ‘K9 Christmas Cooking Class (December),’ providing a special customer experience unique to K9. Furthermore, limited-edition golf shoes co-developed with Pro Im Jin-han will be provided to customers who purchase The 2023 K9.


A Kia official said, “The 2023 K9 has elevated the dignity of a traditional flagship sedan with more luxurious product appeal,” adding, “We will further enhance customer satisfaction through dignified membership services and marketing activities befitting a leader’s car.”
