[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Don Spike (Kim Min-su), who is accused of drug use and purchase, has been handed over to the prosecution.
On the 5th, the Nowon Police Station in Seoul sent Kim to the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act at around 7:50 a.m.
Kim, who was detained at the Dobong Police Station detention center, was transferred to the prosecution without appearing in front of the press, boarding the escort vehicle immediately.
Kim was arrested after being caught using methamphetamine at a hotel located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 8 p.m. on the 26th of last month. At the scene, the police also seized methamphetamine enough for about 1,000 doses. Kim tested positive for drugs in a preliminary reagent test. The police have currently requested a detailed analysis from the National Forensic Service. On the 28th of last month, the Seoul Northern District Court issued an arrest warrant for Kim, citing "risk of flight."
Kim is suspected of repeatedly using methamphetamine with two female hostesses in the Gangnam-gu area. Additionally, it was investigated that from December last year to September this year, Kim jointly purchased methamphetamine eight times with A (37), the owner of a brothel. Among these, one purchase was made alone through Telegram. A was also sent to the prosecution on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act along with Kim.
A total of eight people, including hostesses, have used drugs related to Don Spike. A police official stated, "Including the brothel owner, 17 people have been booked, and 12 have been sent to the prosecution," adding, "The remaining five will be sequentially arrested and investigated."
