[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Samsung Electronics met with officials from the El Salvador government visiting Korea to request cooperation in hosting the '2030 Busan World Expo.' This year also marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and El Salvador.
On the 5th, Samsung Electronics announced that Lee Jae-seung, President of the Home Appliance Business Division, invited Alexandra Hill Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, to the Samsung Innovation Museum in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province the previous day to discuss support plans in future education aimed at enhancing the technical capabilities of El Salvador's youth.
Alexandra Hill Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, explored the history of the modern electronics industry at the Samsung Innovation Museum, the largest electronics industry museum in Korea, and experienced Samsung Electronics' latest products and innovative technologies.
During the meeting, President Lee promoted the competitiveness of the '2030 Busan World Expo' and requested support. Samsung Electronics is participating in the '2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Committee' and is actively involved in hosting activities.
