[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Hyeong-seok] The Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall announced on the 4th that it will hold the 'National University Student Speech Contest' again this year to promote the leadership, philosophy, and thoughts of President Kim Dae-jung.
The speech contest is open to university students and graduate students (including those on leave) nationwide attending two-year or higher institutions. The preliminary round theme is 'A New Beginning,' and for the final round, participants must choose one theme from 'Inclusion and Harmony,' 'Driving Force of Growth,' or 'Culture and Welfare.'
The application period is until November 3, with manuscript submissions from October 21 to November 3. Preliminary round results will be announced on November 17. The final round will be held on December 9, and if conducted in person, the final winners will be announced on the day of the final round.
An official from the memorial hall said, "The speech contest will be an opportunity to achieve roles and accomplishments in career paths," adding, "It will serve as a stepping stone to strengthen the leadership necessary for global talents leading the future."
