Yoon Chang-hyun Raises Suspicions on Eastar Jet's Unfair Hiring Involving 'Han Myeong-sook, Lee Won-wook, Yang Gi-dae'

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Yang Gi-dae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, rebutted on the 4th the allegations of irregular hiring at Eastar Jet raised by Yoon Chang-hyun of the People Power Party as "groundless." Yang demanded that Yoon hold a press conference and take legal responsibility instead of raising the issue during the National Assembly audit, where parliamentary immunity applies.
Through a text message to reporters that day, Yang stated, "I strongly regret that during the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee audit, Representative Yoon Chang-hyun raised allegations of irregular hiring at Eastar Jet and named former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook and Representatives Lee Won-wook and Yang Gi-dae as employment petitioners," adding, "I have never petitioned for employment, nor do I know any of the people Yoon Chang-hyun identified as employment petitioners."
Representative Yoon alleged that former Prime Minister Han and Representatives Lee and Yang were involved in irregular hiring during Eastar Jet's recruitment process.
Regarding Yoon's remark during questioning that "if this is based on incorrect data, you should raise the issue against Eastar Jet, and if it is true, you should apologize," Yang said, "This irresponsible 'if not, then never mind' comment instantly turned a former Prime Minister and members of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party into corruption suspects."
Yang said, "Instead of cowardly launching political attacks hiding behind parliamentary immunity at the audit, Yoon should hold a press conference confidently," adding, "If it is proven to be untrue, he must take clear responsibility and resign from his position as a member of the National Assembly."
