[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors achieved a total sales performance of 18,922 units in September, with 5,050 units sold domestically and 13,872 units exported, marking a 28.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

In the domestic market in September, the mid-size sedan SM6 recorded sales of 316 units, a 106.5% increase compared to the same period last year, continuing a sales growth trend of more than double the previous year's monthly sales for five consecutive months.

The mid-size SUV QM6 led Renault Korea Motors' domestic sales performance with 2,909 units sold in September alone. The QM6 LPe model accounted for approximately 79% of total QM6 sales with 2,302 units. By trim, the higher trims, RE Signature and Premiere, accounted for 64.6% (1,879 units) of total QM6 sales, showing strong consumer preference for premium specification models.

The coupe-style SUV XM3, which is gaining popularity mainly in the European market, sold 1,715 units in September, a 46.8% increase compared to the same month last year. By trim, the premium RE and RE Signature models sold 1,592 units, accounting for 92.8% of XM3 sales, maintaining strong sales centered on high-end trims.

Renault brand models recorded sales of 110 units for the mid-size commercial vehicle Master.

Renault Korea Motors' exports in September increased by 34.1% year-on-year, with 13,872 units shipped. The XM3 (export name Renault New Arkana) accounted for 7,163 units of the total 11,730 units exported, representing 61%, including the hybrid model scheduled for domestic launch this fall. The QM6 (export name Renault Koleos) also continued its export performance with 2,060 units shipped, a 78.2% increase compared to the previous year.
