The National Assembly's Health and Welfare Committee held a plenary session on the 4th and adopted the personnel hearing report on nominee Cho Gyu-hong for Minister of Health and Welfare. President Yoon Seok-yeol submitted the personnel hearing request for nominee Cho to the National Assembly on the 17th of last month, and that day was the deadline for adoption.

During the personnel hearing for nominee Cho held on the 27th of last month, allegations regarding improper receipt of civil servant pensions and issues related to registration as a dependent under health insurance were raised one after another, but no objections were made regarding the adoption of the report at the meeting on this day.

If President Yoon appoints nominee Cho as minister on this day, nominee Cho will be able to attend the Ministry of Health and Welfare's audit scheduled for two days starting from the 5th in the capacity of minister.
