All Newlyweds... Support for Women's Folic Acid and Postpartum Nutritional Supplements, Nursing Supplies Rental

Jinju City Expands Pregnancy and Childbirth Support to Overcome Low Birthrate and Encourage Childbirth Jinju City Hall.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, will expand pregnancy and childbirth support starting in October to overcome low birth rates and encourage childbirth by creating a childbirth-friendly social atmosphere through strengthened social support.

The city will expand the delivery method of folic acid supplements for newlywed women and nutritional supplements for postpartum women, which were previously provided only when visiting public health centers, to be sent by mail from October to accommodate those who find it difficult to visit the centers.

Residents registered in Jinju City can apply by visiting a public health center, eup/myeon office, or administrative welfare center. Folic acid supplements will be provided to newlywed women, and nutritional supplements to postpartum women.

In addition to the existing public health centers, two toy banks (City Hall and Cheonjeon-dong) and two shared childcare centers (Sinan-dong and Gaho-dong) will also offer nursing supplies for rent.

Currently, reservations are made by phone to the public health center or by visiting eup/myeon offices and administrative welfare centers, with rentals handled by the public health center. From October, while maintaining the existing application methods, applications will also be accepted through Jinju City's integrated reservation system at the expanded toy banks and shared childcare centers for rentals.

A city official stated, “We are preparing various projects to expand childbirth-friendly and pregnancy/infertility support, and we will do our best to create a celebratory atmosphere for pregnancy and childbirth.”
