Following Two Openings in La D?fense Area in First Half, 5th Store 'Montparnasse Branch' Opens on 4th
Targeting Office and Commercial Districts... "Enhancing Brand Awareness and Expanding Local Business"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] SPC Group's bakery brand Paris Baguette is accelerating its local market penetration by opening three additional stores in Paris, France.
Paris Baguette announced on the 4th that it opened the 'Montparnasse Store' in the Montparnasse area, one of the key commercial districts in Paris, France. This is the fifth store following the third store Boeldieu and the fourth store Corolle, which opened earlier this year in La D?fense, a modern commercial district on the outskirts of Paris. Paris Baguette plans to enhance local brand awareness and competitiveness through the three newly opened stores.
The La D?fense and Montparnasse areas, where Paris Baguette has expanded, are office districts housing major global companies and key commercial zones. In particular, Montparnasse is home to landmarks such as the 'Montparnasse Tower,' the second tallest landmark in Paris after the Eiffel Tower, and the historic cinema 'Gaumont.' It also features 'Montparnasse Station,' a transportation hub, making it one of the busiest areas in Paris in terms of foot traffic.
The Montparnasse Store is a caf?-style outlet with a terrace, covering 149㎡ and seating 67 people. It leverages the characteristics of the office district and the area in front of the train station by strengthening the 'Grab & Go' corner with sandwiches and other items. A wooden canopy, harmonizing well with the vintage building at the entrance, was installed to protect against wind and rain, and consumer convenience was enhanced by allowing customers to order waffles, sandwiches, coffee, and other menu items without entering the store.
The previously opened Boeldieu and Corolle stores are located near the famous La D?fense architectural landmark 'Grande Arche (New Arc de Triomphe),' expected to attract a diverse customer base including local office workers and tourists. The Boeldieu Store has secured a large production space and plans to serve as a 'central kitchen' producing and supplying products to stores within Paris.
Christophe Larose, Head of Business Division at Paris Baguette France, said, "Paris Baguette has been steadily growing, receiving favorable reviews from locals based on SPC Group's quality and brand competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to expand our business focusing on key commercial districts in France."
Meanwhile, SPC Group opened its first Paris Baguette store in France in 2014 and contributed to economic and cultural cooperation between Korea and France by introducing educational programs from INBP (French National Bakery School) and ?cole Len?tre (famous French pastry and culinary school) to Korea. Based on this, it was selected as the 'Best French Market Entry Company' at the Business Awards hosted by the Korea-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry last April.
